Grades 3-5 Kids Camp Electives
Kids in grades 3–5 will participate in one elective in the morning (same all week) and a different elective in the afternoon (same all week). You will find anything from Basketball to Jewelry Making, see below this years Electives.

| Basketball | Come and learn the basics of the game. Skills include dribbling, passing, and shooting. See you on the court! |
| Croch-HEY There! | You are invited to come enjoy the wonderful world of crochet! Is this your first time crocheting, or have you stitched before? Either way, we have fun projects planned for you to wear, to use, to gift to others, or even to donate. Using Chains, Single Crochets and Double Crochets, you will practice on projects and progress at your own pace during the week. Come get "hooked" on crochet at camp this summer! |
| Flag Football | “Ready, set, hut!” Winning the Super Bowl takes a lot of hard work and practice. Campers come to learn the basics of throwing, route running, flagging and executing plays. You won't want to miss out on this football elective, finishing with Super Bowl Friday! |
| Jazzy Jewelry | Kids will have the chance to be creative and crafty by designing and making their own bracelets, a necklace and a keychain, as well as doing some painting crafting. |
| Master Builders: The Lego Experience | The Master Builders workshop seeks to equip young LEGO creators with fun and engaging ways to design and build to their imagination’s delight. |
| Ride Smart Cycle Education Program | The Ride Smart cycling program is designed to help students learn safe cycling skills. The program is completely self-contained (Hope Bible Church parking lot) and provides bikes, helmets, instructors, resources and any materials needed to set up obstacles in different scenarios. | Sew Fun | There’s a time for every matter under heaven: a time to tear and a time to sew! Whether you love to sew or have always wanted to learn, this elective is for you! Come on out and make some fun projects to take home with you. Learn techniques as you sew by hand as well as with a sewing machine. No need to bring anything, all machines and materials will be provided. Use your artistic minds to personalize your useful crafts and come ready for a good time. It’ll be “Sew Fun” to have you with us!!! |
| Skipping | Criss-cross, octopus, wounded duck and double-under, not sure what these are? Come and learn from basic to professional single rope tricks. Just in case you are wondering, YES, the double Dutch ropes will be coming out as well! Come join the fun! |
| Soccer | In this elective, the participants will build and develop soccer skills through fun drills as well as play soccer games in a mini-tournament style format. |
| Spectacular Science | Embark on a great journey through the mind-blowing world of science and discover the marvels of God's creation! Dive into the wild adventures of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and beyond. Get ready to experiment, play, and unleash your inner scientist! |
| Sphero Robotics | Inspire curiosity, creativity, and invention through connected play and coding using the Sphero Mini connected robot. Gain some programming skills while making the robots roll, bounce, and jump through obstacle courses, race around a track, and create artistic images with their movements.
Campers will need to bring a Bluetooth-enabled Apple or Android device preloaded with the Sphero Play app fully charged every day. The device can be stored in the classroom during the day. For a glimpse of what these robots can do, HERE. |
| Volleyball | Get ready to serve, pass, and score in our volleyball elective! Whether your child is a budding volleyball pro or just starting, this elective promises to be a smashing good time. Your child will develop fundamental skills such as serving, passing, scoring and a lot of high-fives, all while learning about teamwork and sportsmanship. |
