Compassion Ministry
The Market provides non-perishable food and household items for single adults and families. This ministry provides a wonderful opportunity to serve directly with those in need in our community. Market workers assist our guests with shopping, offer prayer and as opportunities arise, share the gospel.
Serving Times
Minimum one shift per month
Shifts are weekdays and Sunday afternoons. Many weekday/daytime workers are needed at this time

Connections
Our Communion Stagers work as a team to help prepare the elements before all communion services, serve to some areas of the Worship Centre as needed, and clean up the prep area after all services.
Serving Times: Friday's at 1pm and various times on Sunday.

If you love people and want to serve the Lord by welcoming people to weekend services, and assisting them as they arrive, you need to be a part of our Welcome Team! Welcoming people in our parking lot, at our doors, at Connections, or into the Worship Centre, our awesome team of volunteers serve on a one-out-of-four week rotation on Sundays. If you’re interested in hearing more, we would love to hear from you!

Creative & Communications
Photographer/Videographer
We are looking for experienced photographers and videographers. There are many ways you can serve with a camera, including weekends, church events, conferences, etc. If you love to take photos or videos, we want to talk to you! No personal gear is required.

Deacon Care Team Volunteer
By serving on the Deacon Care Team you will have a wonderful opportunity to serve alongside our Deacons by helping those in our church community in the area of financial need, household needs, health needs or relational needs. Some of the ways our Deacon Care Team have been involved is helping with moving furniture, home repairs (expertise required), checking in on those who are unable to leave their home, and offering support through prayer and sharing the gospel. If you are interested, we will set up a time for you to speak to one of our Deacons about how you would like to use your gifts to serve our church and community.
Serving Times
Our Deacon Care Team is notified when a need arises within our church community. They often help in the evenings or on Saturdays, as they are available.

Hope Kids
Early Childhood workers provide care and spiritual direction to children during weekend services, as well as creating a safe and nurturing environment.

Our Hope Kids Accessibility team cares for children from birth through grade five in our ministry with various diagnosis' during the 10:15am service on Sundays. This is a great opportunity to get to know a child in our ministry as you serve with them as their one-on-one buddy. Buddies go with each child through Hope Kids as we help each child have access to learning about the gospel of Christ.

Hospitality
Hospitality Volunteers
The mission of the Hospitality Ministry is to create Christ-centered serving opportunities by coming alongside the other ministries of Hope Bible Church. There are a number of different areas within the Hospitality Ministry where our volunteers can be involved. Whether that is serving in the cafe, baking, preparing breakfasts & dinners, food prep or serving at events, our volunteers have many opportunities to share the love of Christ with the people of this church.

Operations
Those on this team will be asked to help with various set-up, tear down, building repairs, and maintenance.

Prayer
We are building a team that will serve our church body and beyond by praying for their needs and requests.
Serving times: Prayer team meets Mondays at the church from 1pm to 3pm. Schedule for during service prayer, Sundays at 8:30am, 10:15am, and 12pm services.

Soul Care
Each individual or couple coming to the Soul Care ministry for individual counselling is partnered with an advocate (or advocate couple). Advocates have the privilege of walking alongside someone in his or her time of need. An advocate must be willing, first and foremost, to pray for their counsellee and point them to the truth of the gospel and the love of God. Advocates participate in individual counselling sessions with a Soul Care counsellor and a counsellee.

Serving Times
- Advocates generally work with one counsellee at a time and can serve weekly/bi-weekly over a 3–6 month period.
- Each counselling session lasts 1–1.5 hours.
- The total number of sessions varies somewhat, but there are generally 8–14 sessions, though they could occasionally be less.
- Advocates attend all the counselling sessions with the counsellee and will connect outside of counselling with their counsellee for prayer and encouragement.
- Once the counselling session ends, advocates are done with their formal serving commitment.
Soul Care Breakout Group Leaders have the opportunity to facilitate class participants in discussion during breakout group time. Soul Care classes include...
- Heart Resurgence (eight weeks)
- Practical Theology 1 (eight weeks) and Practical Theology 2 (eight weeks)
- Anxiety Care and Support (nine weeks)
- Grief Share (13 weeks)

Serving Times
- Soul Care classes are held throughout the week (from October –June).
- Classes vary in length from eight to 16 weeks.
- Some classes are on Sundays, and some are on weeknight evenings.
- Your serving time would include preparation for the group-time discussion and prayer in advance of each class.
- You would attend the class each week and facilitate (not teach) the breakout group discussion.
- Each breakout group will have two co-facilitators.
- You may also be asked to attend some training/equipping prior to the class.

Youth
Lead a small group of students of the same gender/grade following the teaching portion of our youth evening sessions and main sessions during retreats. Actively participate during youth events and retreats with your small group of students.
Serving Times: Youth Ministry takes place Wednesday nights from 6:15-8:30pm. Events are the third Friday of October, February, May, and June. Retreats take place in the Fall and Winter for JR High youth.
